Swismma Building Technology are looking for a Technical Executive to support our construction and building-solution projects through accurate shop drawings, technical coordination and statutory-compliance review. This role requires you to work closely with the sales, production, project, consultant and client teams to ensure drawings are accurate, buildable and submitted on time.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate 2D and 3D shop drawings, production drawings, schematics and as-built drawings using AutoCAD and relevant BIM software.
- Interpret design briefs, specifications and project requirements into clear technical drawings.
- Coordinate drawings with architects, engineers, consultants, production teams and project personnel.
- Review drawings for accuracy, buildability, drafting standards and applicable statutory requirements.
- Prepare proposal and quotation drawings in support of the Sales and Marketing team.
- Revise drawings based on client, consultant, authority and project-team feedback.
- Prepare and coordinate technical cut lists with the Production team.
- Maintain drawing registers, revision histories and submission records.
- Support project teams with shop-drawing and as-built submissions.
- Identify technical discrepancies and recommend practical solutions.
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior drafting team members.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Drafting, Construction, Architecture or a related discipline.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in technical drafting, shop drawings or construction coordination.
- Proficient in AutoCAD; experience with Revit or other BIM software is highly preferred.
- Experience preparing construction, fabrication, shop or as-built drawings.
- Understanding of Malaysian building regulations, authority requirements and applicable industry standards.
- Strong attention to detail, drawing-control discipline and problem-solving ability.
- Able to coordinate effectively with consultants, clients, production and project teams.
- A portfolio or sample of relevant drawings would be advantageous.
