Lion-Parkson Foundation Offering Scholarships and Educational Loans to Undergraduates

Kuala Lumpur, 2 April 2010 – The Lion-Parkson Foundation is offering scholarships worth RM12,000 per annum and educational loans of RM8,000 per annum to students pursuing first degree courses in the local public universities, UTAR and KTAR.

Students are invited to apply with their STPM results of minimum 3A and 1B, or Matriculation with CGPA 3.50 or higher, or Diploma. Award consideration will be based on applicants’ financial background, academic performance, extra curricular activities and leadership qualities.

Students currently pursuing undergraduate studies in the local public universities, UTAR and KTAR can also apply but must not be bonded or receiving any form of financial aid or award from other educational institutions or organizations.

The application form can be downloaded from the Foundation’s website at www.lion-parksonfoundation.com.my or obtained from its office at Level 12, Office Tower, No 1, Jalan Nagasari (Off Jalan Raja Chulan), 50200 Kuala Lumpur. All applications must reach the Foundation by 16 April 2010.

The Lion-Parkson Foundation was launched in 1990 to administer and disburse funds for various needs such as education, charity and scientific research. Todate, the Foundation has sponsored 357 students through various sponsorship programmes worth RM 7.5 million. In addition, the Foundation has also contributed another RM 9.6 million towards other causes, making a total contribution of RM 17.1 million todate.
