HRD Manager, Parkson HQ

I began my career 20 years ago in the Parkson Head Office. Throughout my long service, I have been continuously exposed to various development opportunities and worked in various roles and Parkson Stores. Each time I moved from one role to another I find that I continuously have new things to explore and learn. This has kept me motivated and made me feel challenged and excited to stay on in this organisation. Each path taken has led me to varied windows of opportunities with regards to my career path. I started off as a Confidential Secretary but moved on to become a Personnel Officer in the Human Resource Department, once I had completed my certification in Personnel Management. I enjoyed being in this new role, where I had the opportunity to be based in different Parkson branches in Kuala Lumpur. My career progression continued when I was promoted to become the Assistant Store Manager in Parkson Atria; then later on, to a Store Manager in Parkson 1 Utama. While working full time in Parkson, I have also managed to pursue and obtained my MBA. I am lucky that the team and supervisors that I have worked with always supported my learning & development path to the level of Senior Store Manager in Parkson Sunway Pyramid.

Just recently, I have been given the opportunity to return to Parkson Head Office to train employees for Parkson Stores as a Human Resource Development (HRD) Manager with the HR Department. I am looking forward to this new challenge that I have been entrusted with as now I am able to share my experience and knowledge that I have gained all the years I have spent at the Parkson Stores, to train employees to deliver STAR quality services to all Parkson customers.
