I am a Lion-Parkson Foundation Scholar (LPF) thus, I was given the opportunity to determine the division in the Lion Group to serve my bond. Amsteel Mill Klang was my company of choice due to the fact that it is a high performing steel making plant even though it has been in operation for many years. I believe that the management in this company is the main contributor to its success, thus it would be a best place for me to learn and experience the Steel making business in the early stage of my Engineering career.

Ever since I joined in April, 2012 I am very inspired with the top management’s emphasis on continuous & lifelong learning.  I find that there is plenty of room for professional growth in this company that is supported by various on the job training and also other formal training provided. In spite of the challenging nature of my job, I still find that it is very interesting and stimulating. Employees’ welfare is also highly valued in Amsteel, where it is apparent in the various Social & Recreational Activities that takes place regularly for instance Sunflower Themed - Landscaping Competition, where my team won the 1^st Runner-up category and the Best Contingent.
